This is the first session in a multi-session Virtual Learning Circle that will take place throughout 2026. Each session will focus on a different topic, and will be based on one of the EIFL-PLIP ‘Small Bites’ microlearning videos for public and community libraries.
The first session is based on the video, Community needs assessment. Here is what you can expect: Aletta Dunn, the AfLIA Public & Community Libraries Chair, will moderate the session. Ramune Petuchovaite, EIFL-PLIP Manager, will introduce the EIFL-PLIP Small Bites video series. Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL-PLIP Impact Manager, will present some examples of tools for community needs assessment and lead a hands-on exercise on how to build a community profile. The Virtual Learning Circle is co-organized by the AfLIA (African Library and Information Associations and Institutions) Public & Community Library Section and the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP).
